Eurovision 2024 final viewing
The final
qualifiers for the 68th Eurovision Song Contest resulted in Swiss rapper Nemo
winning with his song “The Code,” which talks about a journey of
self-discovery, ahead of Croatian contestant “Pepe Lasagna.”
“I hope
that this competition can fulfil its promise and continue to defend peace and
dignity for every person in this world,” Nemo said, with tears in his eyes
after receiving the award. He added that the song “The Code relates to the
journey that I began with my realization that I am neither a man nor a woman”
The song
“The Code” by 24-year-old Nemo received the highest points from the
international jury, and enough votes to score 591 points at the final ceremony
of the competition, which was held in the Swedish city of Malmo
.For his
part, Croatian “Baby Lasagna” came in second place with 547 points
